Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO)
Understanding the Multifactorial Mechanisms and Emerging Treatment Strategies
UNDERSTANDING RVO: a Webinar and an Infographic
Retinal diseases are a common cause of vision loss worldwide. Among these, retinal vein occlusion (RVO) is a significant concern, being the second most common retinal vascular disease behind diabetic retinopathy.
The Angiogenesis Foundation’s Center of Excellence for Retinal Disorders has created a multimedia toolkit to provide clinicians with information about RVO and its role in vascular instability.
This webinar aimed to redefine the disease state of RVO, and discuss the clinical trials and implications of the novel treatments Faricimab, a molecule targeting dual signaling pathways via inhibition of Angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) and Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A) to improve vascular stability for durable efficacy.
